About SoakRight
SoakRight is a small independent site about looking after home hot tubs: the water, the equipment, and the bills. It is written for owners who would rather understand what is going on than buy another bottle and hope.
What the site is for
Most hot tub advice is either a generic schedule or a sales pitch. The guides here start from the situation an owner is actually in, such as cloudy water before guests arrive, a code on the panel, or a used tub that just arrived, and work through the causes in the order that is cheapest to check.
How the guides are made
Each guide starts from the questions owners search for and ask each other in owner groups and forums. The text is drafted with the help of AI writing tools. Every number on the site is held to one shared fact sheet built from published sources: CDC pool and spa guidance, PHTA water-care guidance, the manuals and troubleshooting guides published by spa and control-system makers, and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. Each guide ends with the sources it is based on.
The photos are AI-generated illustrations of generic equipment and situations. They do not show a specific brand or model, and they are there to help you recognize a part or a symptom, not as proof of anything.
What we do not do
- No medical advice. Questions about skin, breathing or health go to a doctor.
- No electrical instructions beyond safe owner checks. Anything on the 240V side is a job for a licensed electrician.
- No paid placements and no sponsored rankings. SoakRight is not affiliated with any spa, chemical or equipment maker.
